Sunken manhole
Reported in the Roads/highways category by Pam Dumbleton at 12:32, Tue 14 June 2016
Sent to Barking and Dagenham Borough Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 840885.
This is the traffic lights just after the Eddie Stobbart ones on the inside lane. The manhole has sunk and the road around it is also sunken quite badly. It is impossible to avoid it if you are on the inside lane in a car. If you are going too quick then you would easily damage your car. This really needs to be dealt with before claims are made for damaged cars. If the road is empty you can go into the other lane but when it's busy you have no choice but to bump down into the hole.

It's still the same and causing problems because it is right across one lane, which obviously car drivers try to avoid damaging their cars driving into it.
