Overgrown brambles danger to pedestrians
Reported via desktop anonymously at 12:18, Wed 12 November 2025
Sent to Torbay Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8408796.
Church Road is a narrow road with a 30mph speed limit and no pavement. It is well used by pedestrians, dog walkers and the school run to the primary school. Cars drive quite fast down here. There are a lot of dangling brambles and ivy protruding a metre or so into the road (more when it is windy) causing pedestrians to walk round them which can be dangerous when a car comes down the road unexpectedly and too quickly. Please cut them back so it is a safer walkway for pedestrians.

Reported directly to Swisco - no action. Reported via FixMyStreet - no action in first 4 weeks. Renewed report with FixMyStreet - another 4 weeks pass with no action. It is a simple action to fix - it would be lovely if Swisco could do so.

After over 4 months without being fixed by Swisco it has been sorted by a resident. Now safe to walk down there without brambles in your face.
