Dangerous very narrow uneven footpath along edge Clanfield brook

Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 10:55, Tuesday 11 November 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8403299.

This narrow path has always been in poor condition. Overhanging branches, exposed tree roots causing trip hazards, weeds growing in soil at edge of wall. In autumn leaves cover the surface which make the path slippery. In places the path slopes dangerously downwards to the brook.

  • This path is definitely getting dangerous, the surface is several places is completely eroded. I've cleared the slippery leaves and cut back some of the vegetation, but it needs resurfacing as when the brook floods it is getting washed away. Matt (Clanfield village volunteer)
