Pavement deteriorating

Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category by Cllr Emma Markham at 15:40, Monday 10 November 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8399871.

Urgent resurfacing work is needed on the pavement between Cross Trees estate on Raven way and the Memorial hall along the Highworth road. There is a disabled resident who uses a mobility scooter and he is completely unable to use the pavement to get into the village because it is in such a poor state, he is now trapped at home or forced to use the road, but with the increase in traffic from the new housing development it is no longer safe to use his mobility scooter in the road. Other residents with pushchairs has also reported this pavement as deteriorating and needing repair to the local parish council. This is the main pavement into the village for a large proportion of the village and is one of the main pavements to walk to the local primary school.
