Streetlamp leaning after being hit by car

Reported via desktop in the Street lighting category anonymously at 10:51, Monday 10 November 2025

Sent to Richmond upon Thames Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8397617.

At around 7.30 this morning a car collided with a streetlamp on Mortlake Road, Kew on the south side near the junction with Kent Road. The column is now leaning slightly, it appears to have lost some of the infill around the base, and the lamp arm is no longer perpendicular to the road. If the column were to fall in the direction of its lean there's a danger it would fall into the adjacent school playground.
