Keep Clear road markings disappeared

Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 07:41, Sunday 9 November 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8393620.

There is meant to be a “Keep Clear” painted on the road to prevent cars parking at a pinch point on the road so road users coming down into Faringdon can wait to allow cars to pass in the other direction. For some years this has got more and more faded and many cars just park over it entirely. Recent roadworks have meant an odd letter has been repainted but not everything including the lines. Further photos cannot be provided as they would identify specific cars but this area is illegally parked on 95% of the time. Can it be repainted in its entirety? Future plans to add double yellow lines on the other side of the road will force parked cars further out of Faringdon and the likelihood is that this will become permanent parking and therefore increase the chance of an accident as road users will be more likely to force their way down the road.
