School Parking

During school pick up and set down times people are parking right outside the entrance, creating a potential hazard to children crossing the road, this has been exacerbated since the lollipop person stopped working there. There are no road markings making this illegal, however a zebra crossing in this area would be useful.

  • Thank you for your report.
    We do have plans to install a zebra crossing at this location. Unfortunately there's been a delay in implementing the project but we are looking to start the works as soon as it is possible.
    Due to lack of restrictions we cannot send parking enforcement teams but It should be noted that if people are parking in a dangerous manner as to obstruct the public highway they are committing an offence under section 22 of the road traffic act of 1988. This legislation is enforced by the Thames Valley Police.
