9 inch hole on the green at the corner of St Johns & Reading Road.

Reported via desktop by Tony Harbour at 11:04, Friday 7 November 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8388423.

Thames Water recently carried out work on a water stopcock on the green. However, it appears that the hole was never properly filled in, nor was any warning sign or barrier put in place after the work was completed.

On Tuesday, 4th November, at approximately 11:00 a.m., a local resident was walking across the green when she stepped into the unmarked hole and fell face-first onto the pavement. As a result, she sustained facial injuries and required hospital treatment for stitches after an ambulance was called to the scene. I have since placed a cone over the hole to prevent further accidents, but this issue needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
