Low hanging ivy not fixed as per BCC contractor advice
Reported via iOS in the Low tree branches category anonymously at 17:47, Wednesday 29 October 2025
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8353692.
I reported this low hanging ivy after a blind man tripped when he didn’t find it with his white stick.
This ivy hangs three feet over the pavement way below a safe height and is attached to a BCC streetlight. This is the council’s responsibility and the problem has most definitely not been fixed. It was trimmed back by a fraction and is already more dangerous than before as branches of ivy fall from higher up. Please review and remove the ivy and be assured the problem is not fixed and is not on private land, it’s a streetlight and the pavement!
