How Lane/ London road view obstruction

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 16:07, Thu 2 June 2016

Sent to Hertfordshire County Council 3 minutes later

Chestnut vets on junction of London Road and How Lane Ware are undertaking building works The contractor has erected a fenced compound in line with the apex of the existing bend in the London Road with the result when exiting How Lane right into London Road ones view of traffic approaching from the bend is now dangerously obstructed . It is made even worse when the contractor parks their transport within the enclosure during working hours This junction normally requires caution to avoid accident with traffic moving along London road and with this added view obstruction is inviting an accident The compound could be moved away from the apex of the bend and the problem resolved

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 22:53, Thu 30 June 2016

  • Got a half hearted reply to the effect the situation had already been reported and a follow up would be sent The offending fencing was partially repositioned but is still causing a blind area where one only sees the approaching traffic at the last moment Never got the follow up but was never holding my breath for that in the 1st place
