A- Board obstruction to public pavement
Reported via mobile anonymously at 12:53, Sunday 26 October 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8339957.
Received a notification that this issue had been dealt with, the A- Board was relocated for one day to a position off the pavement, today (26/10/25) it has again been located in a position that causes a totally unnecessary obstruction on the pavement for prams and wheelchairs. Simply moving the board back to the courtyard entrance, which is part of the curtilage of the Hotel, will allow the same visibility for advertising without obstructing a public pavement.

Thank you for your report. After revisiting the Avairy based on our assessment, the highlighted area does not currently meet the criteria for immediate intervention under our Highway Safety Inspection Policy as the a board is in the position as per our recommendations, thus not obstructing the footway . However, rest assured that we will continue to monitor this location during our routine statutory inspections. For further information on highway repairs and our risk assessment process, you can visit the Oxfordshire County Council’s website: https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ residents/ roads-and-transport/ street-maintenance-z/ road-repairs
