Mud on Railway Lane
Reported via mobile in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 15:38, Thursday 23 October 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8331283.
WE Black and Quin construction are developing 92 homes off Railway Lane Ox4 4fw but have put no temporary road down into the housing development. They drive cement mixers and heavy lorries in and out of there all week churning up mud and bringing it down Railway Lane and into Astrop Lane and sandford road. The road sweepers make no difference. As this is a joint council development please can you insist a temporary surface into that housing estate is built. Thank you

Absolutely disgraceful, mud is all over railway lane the road surface is degrading at a rapid pace due to hundreds of HGVs using this small road, cement vehicles are reversing into Astrop Lane, pools of water are always present at the bottom of Railway/Astrop Lane, this is a perfect storm with frosts and ice forming. 'Currently INVESTIGATING! Action is what is needed before a serious incident happens. It's the WILD WEST RUN BY COWBOYS on this current build. Please send someone down immediately.
