Pavement slabs removed following road works

Reported via desktop in the Pavements category anonymously at 12:19, Thursday 23 October 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8330216.

The National Grid has dug up the pavement by Nando's to repair an underground cable. The stone slabs haven't been re-instated following the work, instead the trench was filled with tarmac. The stone slabs are pilled up on the side! Are they intending on digging up the tarmac and re-instate the stones?

  • Some of the newly installed concrete has been dug up to install the old pavement stones but not everywhere. Workmen seem to be packing up at the moment leaving patches of concrete where pavement slabs laid prior to the National Grid works.
