Urgent Cleaning Required: Blocked drain at the bottom of Vicarage Hill, drain solidly blocked and will require the council cleaning team to dig the blocked drain out, as the suction cleaner will not touch it, this has been blocked for the past 3 years, and last year due to the water running over both drains down the pavement, black ice had formed, and a 93 year old resident fell and hurt them self badly. Can the Council make this a matter of urgency. Thank you,

25/01/2026 Drain now solidly blocked and water flowing our drains and down the pavement across the CATC Telecoms manhole cover, and into the gutter in Dewsland Park Road. Water has been turning into black ice, still awaiting on the council to unblock both drains , On walking up Vicarage Hill the weeds are getting bigger and the overgrowth getting worse, In the dark its hard to see the light from the lamp posts due to the overgrowth. Hopefully the council will send out a team to clear the overgrowth, weeds and clean out all the 4 drains in Vicarage Hill also.

Vicarage Hill is still awaiting to have the overgrowth cutting back and weeds are getting bigger by the week.
It seems that the local council have abandoned the lane, at one time the sweeper would walk down the lane and clear the abandoned litter.
What is worrying is the bushes are blocking the lamp posts and not letting the lighting illuminate the dark lane at night.
Hopefully the council will send out a team to tackle this problem within the next 7 Days.
Thank you.
