Abandoned(?) street furniture switchboard installation
Reported anonymously at 11:42, Mon 30 May 2016
Sent to Hackney Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 832141.
I don't quite know what to call it, but there is an installation of what is called street furniture (a large metal frame) containing a wiring switchboard, on the west side of the top of Navarino Rdd, with unlocked, swinging open doors, which seems to have been abandoned and I think should be removed by the council, if so. There is another nearby on Dalston Lane which I have reported separately. Thank you to anyone who can do something about this nuisance, if only by securing the doors closed.

It's likely to be still active and you need to contact its owner. The owner will probably be VirginMedia http://help.virginmedia.com/ system/ selfservice.controller?CMD=VIEW_ARTICLE&ARTICLE_ID=2950&CURRENT_CMD=SEARCH&CONFIGURATION=1001&PARTITION_ID=1&USERTYPE=1&LANGUAGE=en&COUNTY=us&VM_CUSTOMER_TYPE=Cable although it could also be Openreach https://www.openreach.co.uk/ orpg/ home/ contactus/ tellussomething/ tellus.do
If it is redundant, the owner would need to remove it.

In the past I've had a poor experience of contacting the correct agencies responsible for this problem, and I would prefer that the Council do that, than leave it to individual residents. I'm not going to pursue the matter, as it seems no-one cares, neither the agencies responsible nor the council. It's crazy!
