Awful Access to Cycle Path

Reported via desktop in the Surface is damaged category anonymously at 19:22, Mon 20 October 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8316735.

The footpath that runs from Bath Road to the Cycle Path at this point is in a really poor state of disrepair. I really enjoy walking and cycling on the cycle path to access the playground in Woodchester, Nailsworth and Sainsburys, but getting on and off the cycle path with a pram/wheelchair/bicycle at this point is extremely difficult. The path is extremely uneven, muddy and overgrown with weeds and stinging nettles, the steps are steep and the ramp for bikes is too close to the fence to use. It is hard to fit a pram through the metal barriers and impossible for wheelchair users to access the cycle path at this point or anywhere nearby. It's such a shame as the cycle path is a great link between Stroud and Nailsworth, so it would be really good to be able to get on and off it more easily.
