Flooding
Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 21:54, Wed 9 December 2009
Sent to Warwickshire County Council 1 minute later
After heavy rain the road floods right across due to the fact that a drainage gully has become blocked. This gulley is only a channel dug trough the grass verge very soon a after it is reopened any large vehicle passing will squash it down blocking the drainage. It needs a more permanent solution.

I was delighted when this problem was resolved within a week or so of my report to you. However I believe that it was included as part of a larger project of cleaning out all the major ditches in this local area.Still it is fixed ; with the reservation that only an earth channel has been dug to take the water from the road to the ditch and I am afraid that as soon as two large vehicles or tractors pass at this point the channel will be blocked again. What it really needs is a concrete apron and a substantial curb to make a more permanent solution.
