Bins left on footpath

Reported in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 15:07, Thu 26 May 2016

Sent to Lewisham Borough Council 3 minutes later

Bins are constantly left on the footpath by owners, this is causing problems with passing pedestrians and prams. This is contrary to the notice I received from Lewisham council

  • Lewisham's policy of all bins to be kept on owners property is a sham as this street is never clear of bins. It show the total lack of their abilities to manage the area, shame on the council

  • Lewisham’s rubbish policy is pathetic I and neighbors received a letter with a statement showing no bins are to be left in streeets apart from collection days, these NEVER move and nothing gets done, why pay tax with failure in the council never after 2 years doing posts like this. Shame on Lewisham’s useless workers shame on you all councillors that do nothing at all about it.

  • Just saw a householder dump her recycling in the bin in the street, she saw me and shouted some rude words as she saw me about to take a picture. I also note that there are stickers on a few but not all bins saying the bins must be returned to inside the property demise following collections carried out on WEDNESDAY. this has NOT happened yet again. Houses 9,11,13 & 15 are the offenders and I would be grateful if Lewisham carry out the prosecution as it also states on the sticker

  • So the council are not doing what they say and fining offenders, so why place the stickers on the bin 3 months agon and say they would
