Crossing often ignored - make more visible

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights & crossings problems with buttons, beep or lamps category anonymously at 09:00, Monday 13 October 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8287250.

This crossing is used by children going to school in both directions (towards Walters Ash & Naphill and to St John’s) but frequently is ignored by drivers who pass at speed. I would say the flashing lights are obvious enough from both directions so no excuse but the light when travelling towards Naphill is somewhat covered when very far back from the crossing, once you pass this point I’ve taken the image though very visible! I think traffic calming measures would help here but given cost/time to do this, making sure no driver can say they didn’t see the very obvious flashing lights might help.
