Collapsed verge
Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8285910.
The lane is alongside a stream and water rushing down the lane finds it way out into the stream at this point. The pressure of water has washed away the verge and let a large hole over 4ft deap, it has also washed the sub soil out from the tarmac causing te road surface to breake up and fall away. This has been reporte many times but no action has been taken. This lane has no footpath and is unlit he only way off the hill for both Pedestrians and Vehicles. I would call this a Major Healh and Safety issue, The Stream is 10 Foot below the tarmac and any peron or vehicl falling would be seriously hurt,.

If repair work is required, it will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
