The Road pathway works have been in existence for an extended number of weeks recently there has been no work observed being completed on the pathway

Reported via mobile in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 11:29, Sun 12 October 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8284523.

The pathway repair has not been worked on for over 3 months. It has been dug up and abandoned by Bromley council. There are bricks protruding into the road that are not contained within any exterior fencing and are a danger to the general public including those people with physical and site impairment. Hilda vale is a busy thoroughfare for children travelling on public transport to infant junior and secondary schools and it is a surprise that no attempt by students have been made to interfere with the bricks that are left for anybody to remove.

  • This issue has been going on now for 6 months it’s a disgrace and the whole area looks terrible the road cannot be swept due to this issue so there is a massive build up of pine needles blocking the drains and causing issues with drainage. Not only have the plastic fences been blown over and thrown onto the pile of bricks it is very dangerous. This is not what the local reside pay you council tax for, I would expect a backlash from local residents when you send bills next year. There is no excuse for this situation being left for so long.

  • Still nothing after 10 months. It so dangerous and causing several issues with drainages, debris and restriction if the road. But hey that’s what we pay exorbitantly high council tax for. To have your road dug up and abandoned for nearly a year. Maybe withholding council tax might provoke some action.
