On green open space between Broadsands and Elberry beach - various pieces of equipment abandoned
Reported via desktop by Rosemary Clarke at 14:54, Sat 11 October 2025
Sent to Torbay Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8282749.
On the green open space (see map) there are at least 4 cones at least 3 temporary barriers and plastic tape All of which appear to have been abandoned. The tree had a large broken branch so the cones and barriers were put in place to stop anyone walking near the tree. The broken branch has been removed. No -one has bothered to remove the cones, temporary barriers and tape. All of which cost money!

On 30th October I emailed Swisco as their response that the abandoned barriers and cones have been dealt with is not accurate. I saw them there on Tuesday 28th. I attached photos show them still in place. Not had an acknowledgment or reply

Still open, via questionnaire -
I received an email acknowledgment from Swisco.. On the 27th November whilst walking I could see that there are still several cones and temporary barriers are still abandoned. I emailed Swisco again on 7th December with photos attached showing them still in place. I even asked if there was a problem removing them? Is it because you cannot find them? I offered to meet a Swisco operative at the carpark at Broadsands and walk them to the abandoned cones and barriers.
