All Steps in sheep street trip hazard

Reported via desktop anonymously at 09:32, Friday 10 October 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8277422.

I am writing to let you know that I was walking in Sheep Street on Tues 7th Oct at approx. 1015hr which was my 73rd birthday when I was going down one of the step’s I thought there was only one step but I was wrong and I caught the second step and went over onto my hip and arm.

See attached pictures of the steps which have no hazard signs such as Yellow/Black markings to indicate that there are steps there. If it was dark and you had poor eye sight you would not be able to see them. The Councils have legal obligations to maintain walkways to a safe standard also if you fail to address a hazard condition you could be held liable for.
