Pedestrians obstructed by constant unlawful pavement parking

Reported via mobile in the Car parking category anonymously at 18:27, Tue 7 October 2025

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8265620.

Some of the businesses on this stretch of Scotland Street seem to have appropriated the pavement for vehicle storage. One of the concrete bollards that were installed to prevent pavement parking here a few years ago was recently destroyed. The pavement is now constantly blocked by parked cars in various states of disrepair. GCC needs to enforce the pavement parking regulations because it is currently impossible for pedestrians to use the footway here.

Updates

  • Cars still blocking pavement here and the bollard that's supposed to prevent pavement parking remains smashed.
