Unsafe willow tree
Reported via mobile in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 07:35, Saturday 4 October 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8250534.
Willow tree dropped a branch last night, which caused damage to a van. I reported the tree to be lifted over the pavement in sept last year, in my opinion not enough was done to remove sufficient weight from the tree and it needs to be re pollard to prevent further damage.

Thank you for your report. I have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. The trees present are on land not deemed to be part of the highway maintainable at public expense by OCC in the County’s capacity as local highway authority. The trees present are maintainable by either Banbury Town Council or Cherwell District Council, and not by the County Council. We advise to contact them directly to pursue this enquiry further.
