Dangerously placed signage

Sent to Milton Keynes Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8245623.

Sign is incredibly dangerous as it’s placed in the road and any drivers who want to use the middle lane to turn right will potentially be hit by oncoming traffic who are going round the sign to avoid it.

  • Spoke to TM worker. Told me it “has” to be placed in the road and his supervisor has signed it off.

    Chapter 8 says signs should be placed in the verge where possible (it can be) and still be clearly visible.

    Chapter 8 also says “ Signs should never be positioned where they create a collision risk or force vehicles to swerve unexpectedly.”

    It’s CLEARLY a collision and swerve risk.
