Overgrown hedges and verges

Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 13:56, Thursday 2 October 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8243881.

The landowners on both sides of Back Lane in this location have allowed the hedges on their land to become overgrown. They are blocking safe use of the public highway here. The carriageway is narrow and the hedges grow right to the edge, leaving no verge. It is unsafe for pedestrians because there isn’t space to safely be passed by any motorised vehicle, whatever the size.
