The roadworks for hints grove entry are causing huge problems at rush hour on the exit slip road from the m5. This will result in a fatality unless dither measures are taken to ensure driver safety. The hard shoulder is used for about a mile on some days in order to queue to exit the motorway, some drivers don’t realise, while others try to push in further up the queue. I have witnessed numerous drivers stop on the inside lane of the motorway trying to force their way in, eventually another vehicle will rear and then and cause a serious multiple vehicle incident. Someone, with council, police, highways or developer needs to take responsibility and ensure that the exit slip road and subsequent roads are better managed for traffic flow or signage in the m5 is clearer in order to prevent death.
