Refusal to collect communal bins expecting residents to remove fly-tipped items with threat not to collect

Reported via iOS in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 17:43, Tuesday 30 September 2025

Sent to Enfield Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8234963.

Ongoing issue with Flytipping in these communal recycling bins. Enfield council have now stated that they will not collect until residents have removed non-recyclable items. This is not the responsibility of the residents as non-residents are fly-tipping. The mess is unsightly and is attracting vermin in a community where several children reside and have to walk through this hazardous mess
