Long trenched hole due to digging by an utility company

Sent to Reading Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8223792.

Although the utlity companies have refilled the trenches, the quality of jobs is so poor that cars bump when they go over the improperly filled trenches. There are 3 such trenches along this road.

Updates

  • The council is extremely efficient when it comes to imposing penalties/fines to ordinary citizens. It however is somewhat reluctant to take actions against corporates! There are shops along the Oxford Road that are openly flouting RTA by encoraching on to footpaths. Yet, very rarely the Council takes action against them.

  • Not at all surprised that nothing has been done so far. I feel the bumps every time I have drive over them. In fact, one cannot avoid them because they are across the road.
