Broken bin outside 16 st stephens st & litter

Reported via desktop in the Bin damaged category anonymously at 19:30, Thursday 25 September 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8214848.

Dear Council Team, I am writing again regarding the ongoing issues on St Stephen’s Street, Bristol, where I own the property at 16 St Stephen’s Street.

The condition of the road remains unacceptable, with rubbish regularly accumulating. I have attached recent photos for reference. It is unclear why this road is not being cleaned on a regular basis, and the neglect is increasingly frustrating.

The copper planters in particular are a problem — they serve little purpose, have effectively become large ashtrays full of weeds, and are often moved about because lorries cannot get through when cars are parked in the loading bay.

In addition, I reported a broken black bin outside my property over a month ago. I was told it would be removed within a couple of weeks, yet it is still there and continues to attract rubbish from passers-by.

Why is St Stephen’s Street continually overlooked? I would appreciate a clear response and a timeline for when these matters will be addressed.
