Cars parked every evening on double yellow lines on both sides of the street

Every evening, there are up to nine cars parked on double yellow lines outside the takeaways and the pub on Cowbridge Road East. These parked cars narrow the main road, cause obstructions, and make visibility very difficult when turning out of Nottingham Street. One car was actually parked across the pedestrian crossing recently and was there for several hours. I have reported this twice to the council but have had absolutely no reply. The people who park here clearly regard their need for a takeaway and a drink as far more important than others' safety. Please can something be done about this?

  • No response from the council despite reporting this problem twice. It's ongoing, continuous, happening every day and night... Seems ironic that people will get booked for parking in residential bays and yet parking on double yellows and causing significant problems with flowing traffic is disregarded and apparently acceptable.
