Our front door lies very close to this gully and our house sits lower than the road. There is a heavy build up of silt caused by heavy traffic ( Thames water tankers having to attend the pumping station almost continuously during the winter of 2023/24 and ongoing at present due to recent burst sections of the rising main ) We also get a lot of farm traffic movement and the dry Summer has meant that the roadside has been very dusty. The silt has built up and is now at a depth of 48cm ( see picture of stick that was put in to gauge depth ) when we get heavy rain, it does not drain away properly and we have to use a stick to try and aid it. If we are not at home when heavy rain occurs, we fear that the water will seep towards our front door ( 2.5metres from the roadside gully on a downward slope. ) There is another gully along the road from us that is also badly silted up )

Someone attended on Monday 13th October and the issue has been partially resolved but we are awaiting their return to clear the gullies nearby so that water is able to flow properly into the designated ditch. My neighbour has also reported this and has advised that the driver in attendance on Monday indicated that he was due to return on Tuesday 14th but has not yet been back.
