Insufficient signage of zebra crossing
Reported via mobile in the Road signage category anonymously at 08:26, Tuesday 23 September 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8201093.
In the past few months, I have personally witnessed over six vehicles fail to stop at the zebra crossing near my home, often while pedestrians (including children) were already crossing or waiting at the kerb. I’m sure this crossing is used daily by thousands of people, including myself, and its current layout is not deterring dangerous driver behaviour. Urgent action is needed to improve pedestrian safety, whether through clearer signage, enhanced road markings, or enforcement measures such as speed or traffic cameras. Without intervention, the risk of a serious accident is high.
