Bridleway gate fixture

Sent to West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8172498.

This bridleway by sheep fieldhas a gate that you can't open from a horse and is broken. Even by hand difficult. Been reported repeatedly before.

The gate fixing is too low and inaccessible to open from a horse or pony - see photo. The fixing has a latch that is not meant for a bridleway and needs to be exchanged for a horse accessible latch

This gate has not been fixed. It is not possible to open or close gate from a horse - this is a bridleway.

This bridleway gate is impassable from a horse. It is also broken, leading to it being left open whilst sheep are present. It needs to be addressed having been reported over several months to the West Dean estate who seem to think it doesn't matter. PLEASE PUT A HORSE USABLE GATE

The West Dean estate have attended to the gate and replaced it with a horse usable gate.
