Rainwater from road surface crossing footpath and entering property

Reported via mobile in the Property Flooding category anonymously at 16:29, Fri 12 September 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8158026.

The drain holes in the kerbstones pictured are blocked. I have tried to unblock them without success. Also the kerbstones are level with the road surface - I have compared other dropped kerbs along the road and they are all 15-20 mm higher than the road surface. The footpath is also raised higher than the road surface in other driveways preventing water ingress. If you can view the video I attached you will see that the water is damaging the retaining wall at the end of my car park and will cause it to collapse if not dealt with soon. The easiest option would appear to be to lay more tarmac on the footpath across my driveway entrance. 20-25mm will probably suffice to stop the water ingress. Please contact me on 07799 117681
