Surface water drain completely blocked by roots and soil

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8157998.

This is the road gully outside number 26, Jack Straw's lane OX3 0DW. The gully is completely blocked by years' of soil, rotting vegetation and root growth. it has been this way for several years, and in consequence the road often has surface water running along it, proving hazardous to cyclists and pedestrians. There is no pavement at this point. According to a neighbour, the problem has been reported before, with no action taken.

  • Thank you for your report. We will send a job to our drainage team to clear the gullies in the area. If there are any issues found (such as tree roots) which they cannot clear on their visit, the location will be added to our list of drainage issues which we will investigate when funding becomes available.
