Huge trees outside my property
Reported via mobile in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 14:40, Fri 12 September 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8157502.
These trees are huge and in the 12 years I have lived here have had zero maintenance…they are too close to each other in proximity including the proximity to the house and cause no end of problems, my guttering is constantly blocked with leaves and causes issues with my property regarding damp etc, the sap produced is constantly leaking over my car which causes paint damage and the windows of my property are always cloudy and covered in sap, the roots also push up the pavement and are probably causing issues with the very foundations of the house. These trees are situated at the front of the property however as you can see from my picture I’ve had to go way down the back garden to show you just how tall that one tree in particular is, the other picture I have taken is 3 trees all very close together. They block all natural light from my property also

As one of the ward councillors I will be in touch with the relative authorities to ascertain When all trees at Cromwell Road, will have some tree surgery work as part of the Oxfordshire County Council schedule With the caveat that this will be tree surgery work and the trees will remain unless there’s any tree to be found in an unsafe condition..

Ok but like I said in the 12 years I have been here there has been no maintenance of any kind and they are out of control and I have to keep asking my landlord to clear my guttering which takes them 6 months to respond too…which then leaves me with damp and mould issues…how is this acceptable? I didn’t plant these trees and I don’t have the authority to do anything with them myself, it’s generally a dark and depressing place to live, compounded by the lack of care by the council to rectify any issues
