The pear tree is.in need of a good cut back,it has dead branches on it and it is just getting unsightly and bends and creaks in the wind. we.have asked for it to be removed because of the mess the pears make on the ground, I have asked street cleaning to clear it up,that was 2 weeks ago. The lady who's wall it is against is fed up picking the pears up out of her garden. Please consider cutting it back to at least wall high. No one owns the tree, residents want miss it .

Thank you for your report. I have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. The trees present are on land not deemed to be part of the publicly maintained highway by OCC in our capacity as local highway authority. The trees present are on land maintainable by an adjacent landowner and not by the County Council. You can access the land registry at: https://www.gov.uk/ search-property-information-land-registry to find details of the adjacent landowner to pursue your enquiry. You are also within your common law rights as a landowner to cut any overhanging vegetation back to the boundary line of your property.
