Misleading road markings

Reported via desktop in the Road traffic signs category anonymously at 17:48, Thursday 11 September 2025

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8153668.

On approach to roundabout, lane markings show left hand lane: TURN LEFT. Right hand lane shows STRAIGHT AHEAD OR RIGHT.

As there is no actual straight ahead direction (dead end), many drivers are using the straight ahead lane to turn left. This is causing numerous near misses as they are cutting up drivers in the left hand lane heading to Gapton/Great Yarmouth. Could the right hand lane be marked simply as RIGHT.

Updates

  • Markings not been changed. Many people have mentioned the same problem of a near miss via Facebook, at this junction.
