Tree roots causing trip hazard asphalt

Tree roots are causing trip hazard also cracking the asphalt around tree and pushing curb stones into road leaving gap between between asphalt and curb stone. This tree also needs pruning the leaves cause slip hazard when wet and also blocks the Road drain as it is right next to the tree.

  • The reported issue requires the footway to be excavated to allow for tree root trimming before being reinstated, these works will now be co-ordinated between our Highways and Tree Teams.

    Part of the tree root is sticking out 20cm that 5cm more than kerbside. Possibly causing damage to car wheel when parking. Excellent job of repairing pavement, but thought tree surgeons was going to remove tree roots.
