Unloading / Loading Traffic Obstruction - Barnes

Reported via desktop in the Inconsiderate Parking (Restrictions in place) category anonymously at 09:15, Wed 10 September 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8143378.

Subject: Urgent Complaint Regarding Highway Obstruction Due to Site Loading/Unloading Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding repeated obstruction caused by site loading and unloading activities on Heathfield Way, a main highway in Kings Heath, Northampton that is marked with double yellow lines. These activities are occurring directly on the carriageway, obstructing the free passage of vehicles, access to neighbouring sites including ours (Carlsberg) and creating significant safety hazards. The presence of double yellow lines clearly indicates that parking or waiting is prohibited at all times, and yet these operations continue without apparent enforcement or oversight. This obstruction: • Disrupts traffic flow and causes delays • Poses risks to pedestrians and other road users • May violate local traffic regulations and loading restrictions I respectfully request that the council investigate this matter promptly and take appropriate action to ensure compliance with highway regulations. If special permits have been issued for this activity, I would appreciate clarification on their terms and whether they allow such obstruction. Please confirm receipt of this complaint and advise on the steps being taken to address the issue. I am happy to provide photographic evidence or further details if required.
