White lining is too narrow

Reported via desktop in the Roads category anonymously at 15:13, Monday 8 September 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8137084.

Following the (excellent) resurfacing works in Merchants Road, the white lining seems to be in the wrong place!

The inside lane (nearest the housing and parking lane) is significantly narrower meaning that even a normal car is straddling the white line, whereas the centre lane is very much wider, and due to this I can see the accidents will occur.

You’ve sent me an email to say the case is closed but the problem hasn’t changed and I’ve not been informed that you’re not taking any action despite the narrowness of the inside lane
