The issue is parking of cars on footpaths creating hazzards for pedestrians especially those with prams/small children. Sometimes the cars are fully on the footpath causing those pedestrians to have to walk in the road. The road bends to the right which reduces sight of of oncoming vehicles. An added result of cars and indeed heavy lorries parking on the path has broken the paving slabs and made the path uneven. I don't want this corrected by more ashphalt. it should be returned to it's original condition to preserve the appearance. I have tried to report this problem before but no-one seems interested.

Updates

  • Hello

The local authority can only deal with vehicles that are parking on the pavement when they are parked adjacent to single/doublel yellow lines.

Beech Drive does not have any restrictions so it is not something that our enforcement officers can take action with.

Kent Police are responsible for dealing with vehicles that are parked on the pavement as this is an obstruction to pedestrians. They can be contacted on tel 101.
