Roadworks at Uxbridge Rd A312 Hampton Hill

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 10:33, Mon 8 September 2025

Sent to Richmond upon Thames Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8134930.

There are 4 way traffic lights set up on the roundabout at the end of Uxbridge Rd A312 in Hampton Hill which are causing gridlock at rush hours. There are no road works or pavement works happening so why are they there and when are they being removed please?

I'm not sure who decides to set up these roadworks like this causing mayhem and closing all the zebra crossings making it dangerous for pedestians to cross the road. It would have been far easier to just close the small section of pavement, keep the zebra crossing open for people to walk around the pavement works and the traffic would still be flowing freely. With major works happening on the Upper Sunbury road A308, there is already a lot more traffic moving though Hampton Hill.

Please can you look into this and get the traffic lights removed ASAP.
