Severely blocked drains on Durdham Park due to BCC neglect

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 16:20, Sunday 7 September 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8132000.

Every drain on Durdham Park has been blocked for years due to neglect from BCC to maintain them. No litter pickers, no road sweepers, no gully clearers apart from the ineffective vehicles that are unable to get to 90% of gullys due to parked vehicles (seen those 3 times in 7 years). Today after heavy rain, all of the silt that has built up in the neglected drainage gullys washed onto the pavements. I am paying £2500 per year in council tax. I am now seeking legal advice to sue Bristol City Council for environmental neglect and I represent the voice of every single resident in Redland. Please can someone from the council actually do what we are paying our council tax for - to maintain the streets we live and work in. Thank you.
