Tree is unsafe
Reported via mobile in the Tree Requires Pruning category anonymously at 21:01, Sat 6 September 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8129597.
Over the last 2 weeks large branches have fallen off in the wind. Today 2 branches came down on our drive while we were out there and another on the pavement nearly hitting a car.
The tree has many branches ready to fall and is a danger.

Thank you for your report. The map marker gives us an approximate location, but including more detail in your description—such as house numbers or lamp column numbers—can greatly assist us. This information helps our officers and contractors quickly and accurately locate Council-owned trees, leading to faster and better service.

This tree has been inspected and is not considered to require remedial works at this time. Bromley will only undertake works to a tree for an identified health & safety or highway obstruction issue. The situation will be reviewed cyclically and any required action will be addressed within a future works programme.

Thank you for reviewing the tree.
However, I am struggling to see how this isn’t a health and safety issue and a risk to the council now that it has been reported.
There are multiple dead branches on this tree, a further 2 have fallen today.
The likelihood of this happening is therefore high, and the severity of these falling onto people walking below is high.
This footpath is used daily by children and families going too and from school.
One of these branches fell during the school rush this morning.
I believe this requires another review, before someone gets hurt.

Hi I feel the pin location and pictures show the tree in question quite clearly. More branches came down overnight. But if you need more info it’s outside 206 crofton Lane.
