Two blocked gullies ten meters apart

Reported in the Roads/highways category by P Vant at 12:54, Thu 21 April 2016

Sent to Hampshire County Council 1 minute later

1 in Old Winton Rd full to the top with ditritus the other on Winchester Rd full to the top with water? As I have pointed out before you do not have DRAINAGE item on your list of defects so it could have been under street cleaning as if the gutters had been done more often then the ditritus would not be washed into the gullies!

  • I checked the two gullies today 19/05/16. They have not been marked, in fact no change and after the very heavy rain yesterday many of the gullies around Andover are now covered with leaves and other detritus!

  • I checked them yesterday 16/06/16 and they are stil not done. Considering how hard it has rained over the last few weeks it should be a high priority.

  • As I have said previously I have seen several others blocked on the same stretch of road. I have now written to HCC highways pointing out this and other matters so they get the bigger picture: ie) That the town council as agents for HCC are failing in their duty to maintain the road. In fact I give up on the whole system!
