Tree is damaged problem

I sent in multiple complaints earlier this year regarding damage to my car on A46 just above the 40mph sign going up the hill out of Nailsworth. you stated it was to do with trees and Ash Dieback but it isn't. The tree came down onto the A46 in February after a storm. The tree is lying parallel with the road and there are sharp ends sticking out into the road. It has been like this since February with no sign of the tree trunk being removed.

  • This report has now been passed to the Highways team for assessment.

    If repair work is required, it will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible.

    In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
