Footpaths closed for horse trials but no alternative given. Walkers abandoned. Can the Council approve such applications if landowner is unwilling to waymark alternative even when many acres of surrounding land is under same ownership?

  • Thank you for your report. I can confirm that this path was closed under a temporary traffic order to allow the Burghley Horse Trials event to go ahead safely. PCC are in discussions with the organisers of the horse trials alternative routes available during next years event.
